On behalf of Rabbi Green, let me be the first to welcome you to the newest member of the Bay Area's Jewish community - the Beit HaMidrash!
The Beit HaMidrash (or House of Study) concept bridges all denominations of Judaism - Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, Renewal and Humanistic Jewish scholars and students are all welcome. United by a common love of Jewish learning, the Beit HaMidrash distills the essence of Bay Area tolerance and pluralism into a single source for all your Jewish study needs.
Steeped in thousands of years of Jewish learning, this non-profit institution will be a unique source for all modalities of Jewish scholarship and thought, taught by leading Rabbis as well as lay scholars. From Orthodox to Reform, from Chabad to Humanism - only at the Beit HaMidrash can you learn from all of these traditions and schools of thought that define the Jewish experience!
In addition, we encourage our students and leadership alike to use the website as an inspiring forum to share how Judaism has impacted their life in a positive way - whether through study, philosophy, mysticism or simply as a link in the unbroken chain that is the Jewish legacy.
As a 'virtual' organization, we hope to bring even the smallest minyanim and shuls the benefits of a greater whole - the full breadth of Rabbinic and lay scholarship to bring the light of Jewish learning to all.
